Bullriding is what I love!

PBR Touring Pro

It's been a while since I've added any posts but I've been pretty busy heading to rodeos and everything. But here are a few photos I snapped at the PBR touring pro in Archdale, NC at Jerome Davis' Arena.

More Cowboys(:

I've been geting people telling me they want to see more of my bullriding pictures so I ventured off to shoot some portfolio... I went to a bullriding because it's my passion to shoot rodeos.

Off Camera Flash

While working on my Industry shoot I captured this photo of the farmer I was photographing I was also playing with gels, this was with a orange gel.

The New River!

While shooting off fireworks I thought it would be a cool idea to do a night shot because it was something no one has done from this spot. Where my mountain cabin is there has been paintings and many photographs from this particular spot but only in daylight from what I could find

A different point of view

All these bullridings I attend and photograph and I always get a "in the arena" or a ground point of view. This bullriding I decided to photograph from the fans point of view, plus there were so many people there for the July 4th celebration!

One more HDR...

I used my brother to my advantage his trash and his fishing rods against the cabin at our mountain I thought would make a good and comical HDR for Irene. It was the beginning of a really good relaxing weekend away from the area and a very cool weekend too!

Mountain Times Cook-out!

Finally I got a vacation where I was free to do. I ventured off to the family mountain house for some relaxation and a cook-out with the neighbors. I really wish I could have shot this image for the America for Jay's assignment but I was a few days late on this, but I still really love it.

HDRifficcc!

In my custom color printing class we have to do a HDR which is layers of one image. You take a underexposed image and a normal image and a overexposed image and merge them together to create a HDR or you can simply just use photoshop... like I did.

In the moment...

While I was shooting my bokeh project a dragonfly came up and curiously hung out with my during the shoot so I luckily got a few shots of him! I was so hyper!!!(:

Bokeh!

In small format class we had to shoot for bokeh that our teacher could clearly tell it was bokeh. For those of you who don't know what bokeh is a Japanese term for the subjective aesthetic quality of out-of-focus areas of a photographic image. This is my favorite image... and the image I turned in. Unfortunately my first 20 tries were in jpg... and the teacher required RAW... so I had to re-do.
One of my favorites

The RAW unedited photo I turned in and got a 95!(:

Playing with custom white balance

Our teachers wanted us to start doing custom white balances for each scene so what better way to learn then to play with it a while. I went into my brother's store and photographed some of the flowers in the shop using a custom white balance.

Storm a brewing!

Coming home from school I noticed a extremely dark cloud in Greensboro so I rushed home to feed and while feeding I had a view... before the rain came I ran into the cow pasture and took a few shots... hope you enjoy!(:
